Original tasting notes: Our first vintage of this classic Margaret River blend – this wine is 51% Semillon, 35% Sauvignon Blanc and 14% Chardonnay. Fresh citrus and grassy aromas balanced with peach and floral notes. The palate is bright, clean and smooth with zesty acidity, tropical fruit flavours and long dry finish.

Museum tasting notes: Intense floral aromas on the nose. a rich balanced palate has viscosity with the Chardonnay coming through on the finish.

Vineyard Notes
The 2017 growing season started with a wet and stormy Winter, with some of the highest rainfall on record, delaying budburst by several weeks. The vines weathered several hail events without much consequence and come Summer the canopies were some of the best we’d seen. The late budburst resulted in a significantly delayed vintage, occurring between March 2 and May 5. This late vintage coincided with heavy rainfall, with the total monthly rainfall for March being double the historical average. The white varietals in particular suffered, and the high water absorption caused many berries to split inviting a widespread outbreak of botrytis, and dramatically decreasing yields. Our commitment to organic viticulture limited our ability manage the botrytis outbreaks. Despite yield loss due to disease, a total of 65.75 tonnes were harvested, the highest since 2012. This type of season leads to wines of finesse, purity and lightness.
